Why PVC?

PVC (polyvinyl chloride) single-ply membranes have provided dependable protection and proven performance since the 1960s, making them a popular and economical choice among roofing consultants and specifiers. PVC’s resistance to chemicals, grease, fire, and punctures make it an ideal choice for a wide variety of buildings. PVC is an advanced-formula, heat-weldable membrane designed for long-term weatherability and performance.

One of these products – the revolutionary Sure-Flex™ PVC Pressure-Sensitive (PS) Cover Strip – saves applicators time, money, and labor. Sure-Flex PVC is a 3-layer, polyester-reinforced membrane. Developed decades ago, Carlisle’s formulation is designed for long-term performance. Sure-Flex PVC contributes to LEED® credit requirements.

PVC - Sure-Flex™ KEE HP

High performance membrane with increased stability and resistance to chemicals, pollutants, and abrasions. Sure-Flex KEE HP PVC utilizes DuPont® Elvaloy KEE, a resin modifier that results in permanent flexibility, increased UV resistance, and improved long-term weathering. Elvaloy eliminates the need for a lacquer coating, which may be effective initially but loses its resistance to dirt and microbial growth over a short time. Sure-Flex KEE HP PVC is ideal when the roofing membrane will be subjected to harsh chemicals and conditions like acid rain, grease, air-conditioning coolants, and intense sunlight.

PVC - Sure-Flex™ FleeceBACK®

Offering superior reflectivity and durability, this membrane produces high-performing results. Fleece-reinforced PVC membranes offer superior durability and reflectivity. In addition to reinforced FleeceBACK PVC membranes, Carlisle also offers FleeceBACK PVC membranes featuring Dupont's® Elvaloy KEE (Ketone Ethylene Ester) copolymer, resulting in the most dependable PVC membrane in the industry. Both of these membranes can be installed over a variety of existing roof systems and deck types.

PVC - Sure-Flex™ FRS

Designed to enhance weatherability, flexibility, and toughness - with a puncture-resistant fleece backing. The ultimate in PVC roofing performance, Sure-Flex PVC FRS FleeceBACK membrane is composed of a unique combination of Elvaloy copolymer, fiberglass scrim, and polyester fleece backing. This membrane is designed to enhance weatherability, flexibility, and toughness. The fleece backing enhances puncture resistance and provides a separating layer for rough or asphalt substrates.
